outfit post!

I understand that, as a blogger, it is highly necessary to post pictures of yourself in cute outfits. Challenge accepted. Of course, this is a rule amongst fashion bloggers. Food bloggers, likewise, post pictures of the delicious things that they have made accompanied by recipes. On the other hand, crafty bloggers post their DIY ideas and product. I'll get around to it all.

This is indeed a blog for confused people, about everything and nothing. So, first thing is first; the outfit post. I'm not going to pretend that it isn't right up my alley to get dressed up and document it.

Spring has arrived and I roamed around the beautiful Cincinnati neighborhood of Mt. Adams in denim, soaking up the sunshine.

My new Alexa Chung for AG jeans skirt is already a favorite. Sweedish Hasbeens is a must for me on any occasion. And even though it was sunny, it was not quite warm enough for bare skin, so i sported polka dotted Wolford pantyhose.

First post is over and done with.

Now, what is left, is to figure out exactly what to write from here on out. Isn't it exciting reading about my doubts? Maybe not so much.

So I have a blog, which makes me a blogger. Better add that title to my resume. Aside from my soon to be wildly successful career as a blogger, I take pleasure in the passive side of life. Today in Louisville, Kentucky it is a warm(er) and sunny day, but just last week I was snowed in. Admittedly, I didn't mind one bit, but I am glad that spring is finally on the way.

Snow days brings about a lot of things I absolutely adore: sitting around, reading, watching movies, taking baths, knitting (or in this case crocheting) and most importantly of all: having a great excuse for your laziness.

I guess since there's is so many things I could write about on this page, I will start with the most boring;  nothing. Next post will probably be an outfit post with me in cool clothes, because that's what you do, right?

everything and nothing

A brand new blog and its virgin post.

I tried this blogging thing about five years ago. Then, I so brilliantly named the blog 'purple octo'. The color purple was really hot for me at the time. This was also a time, when I believed that each season would boast a new animal to be the it-animal, that would accessorize everything. Like portlandia's "put a bird on it", I thought 2010 was ripe to "put an octopus on it". I still can't say with certainty, that I was wrong.

Alas, here i am again in the blog-o-sphere. This time my new level of maturity shines through in my updated title. Only time will show if a raised level of maturity will shine through in any of my posts. 

I originally wanted to start a blog called 'everything and nothing'. This name was taken, which made me instantly give up on the title again. C'est la vie. The title was supposed to describe the state of my life and future, which is also what I was going to blog about. My life, the state of it, the future and everything and nothing.

Think that is too broad? It is. And so is life. It is what I want to do with my life - everything and nothing. What do they call the crisis in between quarterlife and midlife? Is that just life?
